Another Fun Website

You know me and my affinity for goofy/weird/fun websites. I found this one courtesy the YA Highway girls.

You just plug in your text (at least a couple paragraphs) and it compares your writing to another author's.

Here's who I got:

I write like
J. K. Rowling

I Write Like by Mémoires, Mac journal software. Analyze your writing!

I think I'll have my agent include this badge in my future submission packets.

"See? It says so right here. My client writes like J.K. Rowling. Now buy her book!"

Think it'll work? Hee.

Now you tell me - Who do you write like?

  1. OMG! This is so much fun.

I used my first draft and it said I write like William Gibson, whoever that is.

My re-write, which is changed into first person, and is much more the voice of the sarcastic little shi+ my MC is, is written like David Foster Wallace.

I actually don't know either of these writers, but now I will go look them up!

  3. Apparently I write like Stephen King. No, really. That's what it said.

I supposed YA Contemp with all it's angsty teenage drama can get a bit scary at times ... LOL!

  4. Very nice! It said I write like Valdimer something...I did it a few days ago. I went to amazon and looked at his books. I'm a bit worried about my writing now, non of them were picture books!
